I was born and raised on a small family farm. From a young age, I was responsible for caring for pets and animals. During undergrad, I volunteered as dog walker for a local shelter. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to St. Louis and began my graduate degree. While in STL I was a dog sitter for several professors and professionals in my local neighbors.
