About Myia

Hi! My name is Myia, and I'm a compassionate and experienced caregiver with a strong background in both child and adult care. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Gerontology and a Master's degree in Human Services. I have worked as an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher and Behavior Technician, where I supported children with developmental and behavioral needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through these roles, I developed strong skills in behavior support, communication strategies, and creating structured, supportive environments that help children thrive. In addition to my work with children, I also have experience providing care for adults and seniors as a Home Health Aide with an agency and a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in a facility setting. My responsibilities included assisting with daily living activities, companionship, mobility support, and ensuring clients felt safe, respected, and comfortable.
