About Nan
Hi. I am an experienced educator and have worked with families to support the educational and social development of children for the past 3 years. My prior career was in higher education. I have a B. A. in English (Smith and Dartmouth College), and MA in Education (Boston College and Harvard Graduate School of Education) and have completed all coursework to be certified as an elementary school teacher. I love literacy and learning and art making and music. I speak Spanish at an intermediate level and have basic French language skills. I have served as a writing and homework tutor, have worked with racially diverse families, and am CPR, Pediatric First Aid certified, am a former lifeguard, swim instructor, volunteer art teacher, and holder of a Teaching English as a Second Language credential from the University of Toronto.
