My journey in caretaking began with elderly grandparents whom I was a primary caretaker for for over 6 years. My grandmother has late stage Alzheimer's and I have been present for each stage of her disease progression from bathing, transporting, tube feeding, etc. Caring for my grandparents has been the greatest privilege and responsibility of my life and has made me who I am today.
