About Nevanda

I'm a mom of two ages 15 and 8. I homeschooled for several years, which led to both of my children being accelerated. My 15-year-old is a senior this year, and my 8-year-old has been a high achieving student for the past two years that she's been in school. My focus is on early literacy, although I willingly teach other subject matter. I do not believe in placing limitations on children. I will place information in front of a child utilizing creative avenues to assist in the understanding of materials being presented. I have experience working with children on the spectrum and assisting them in achieving their goals. I've partnered with speech, OT, and PT therapists to coordinate care and education plans for these children. It is my firm belief that a parent is a child's first teacher, and it truly takes a village to create a well-rounded child. Let me be a part of your village. My calm and patient demeanor and out of the box thinking are truly an asset that I look forward to sharing.
