Experience: 4 yrs
Hi there! My name is Nicholas and I am a recent MD graduate from Duke University School of Medicine currently living in Brooklyn while working on my postdoctoral research. I have 4+ years of experience providing paid child care, from newborns to 18-year-olds, and I am comfortable simultaneously caring for multiple children. I enjoy engaging kids in physical activity and can help with meal preparation, housework, errands, and homework. I have extensive clinical training in pediatrics, so I'm comfortable working with children with medical and/or psychiatric needs. I am certified in Basic Life Support and CPR.
Nicholas provided child care and tutoring services (it only let me pick one to review, but he provided both) for our 13, 9 and 5 year olds for about 12 months. He is energetic and dependable. My 13yo said “He made learning fun and he’s cool”. That’s a stout endorsement from a teenager. My endorsement as a mom is equally as stout in that I never worried about my children when they were with Nicholas. I knew they were safe and happy (and even learning). Nicholas taught my children so many things (how to throw a fastball and how to bake a pound cake were the two most popular) and enhanced our family for so long we were truly sad to see him move away.
