Experience: 10 yrs
I have 18 years of experience in working with Adult Elderly and teens. Both in their homes and facility. My passion for elderly care is founded on a deep appreciation of the need for personal connections. For example trust and respect. I focus on building that with each and every client I serve. That is why I meet with every client individually, in other to learn and understand their unique needs, wants, and preferences. Getting to know my client has enable me to provide their families a peace of mind. My experience in working as a care-giver/ CNA had thought me so many things, such as being caring, patience, compassion, empathetic and understandable. I respect each client values and believes. I Communicates with each client on a professional level in other to help me understand my responsibilities as your caregiver. I currently work in the hospital as a CNA, but I have decided to go back to what I love, which is working in home care.
Few Months ago, I met Nine at the hospital working as a 1:1 sit for me father who was totally confused due to his last fall. At the time, my mother and I were worried about how to care for him when he is discharged. I asked Nine in the hospital room if she knew anyone that was interested in a shot team home care job. In the midst of our conversation Nine told my mom and I that she works full time in the hospital, but she has her own home care contract as part time doing the day. From the way I saw how she took care of my father who didn’t trust any CNA that entered that hospital room. Nine was very respectful, polite, patient and understanding of my father’s condition. She had him smiling, and willing to allow her to clean him up and made him comfortable. She sat with him for 8 hours, during those hours, my father did not get agitated or upset about the way she took care of him. She is such a compassionate and caring person. Nine is currently taking care of my dad at home. We had to reduce her hours because my dad is getting a lot better.
