About Norka

My name is Norka Perez, and I am a licensed educador with over 10 years of teaching. Graduated from Hunter College with a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education. I have taught in dual language programs as well as in kindergarten and first grade, with a strong focus on early literacy and foundational skills. I am bilingual in English & Spanish and have a deep passion for suppoting young learners. While I've spend many years in the traditional classroom setting, I am now intentionally shifting away from whole-group teaching to focus on what I do best- working with students in small groups or one-to-one settings. Tutoring allows me to give each child the individualzed attention they deserve, and I'm excited to bring my skills and dedication to you. Helping children trive- one lesson at a time!
