About Norman

Hello! My name is Norman and thank for you taking the time to learn more about me. I am current PhD student at Brown University and a former Independent School teacher. Primarily, I coach historical research and writing skills. I have taught a diverse range of courses from World History and International Relations to African-American History and Urban Studies. I have also served as a course developer and instructor for middle and high school programs at Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development. I hold an A. M. in History from Brown University and a B. A. in History from Loyola University Chicago. I am available for tutoring and academic coaching. My expertise is history, but I also have years of experience in student support and managing stressful workloads. I am an avid music listener (and vinyl collector)! I spend a ton of time outdoors exploring Providence, and I like all types of comedy, especially improv!
