About Olivia

I am a fine artist professionally trained primarily in observational painting and drawing. I also have experience with a variety of printmaking processes, including relief (linocut, woodcut), etching, and monotype. I am passionate about visual language and the development of visual literacy, especially in young people. I am always happy to tailor instruction and conversation to the particular artist interests and temperaments of my students, and while I have a great depth and breadth of technical knowledge to offer, I do not believe in any sort of dogmatic approach to art-making. I believe that the creative instinct is innate to all human beings and value opportunities to work with dedicated students. I am also fluent in written and spoken Italian and available as an Italian tutor.
