About Olivia

Hi there! I recently left the insurance industry, where I worked as an underwriter for three years, to return to what I'm most passionate about - supporting children in their learning. Before that, I spent over three years as a third-grade teacher and have experience across grades K-6. I hold a degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, with an ESL endorsement, and maintain my educator license. In the classroom, I've developed strong skills in planning, implementing, and assessing elementary curricula, especially in math. I've also worked in preschools and tutoring centers, giving me additional experience with individualized instruction and early academic support. Teaching through the pandemic, I became skilled at identifying learning gaps and helping students meet grade-level goals as I'm passionate about fostering growth and confidence in a supportive, engaging way.
