About Olivia

Hi all! My name is Olivia, but I go by Olive. I have a Master's degree in writing, and almost a decade of tutoring experience! I've titled everywhere: from homeschool classrooms, to college-in-prison programs, to the writing centers at liberal arts colleges, to my very own living room, and of course. I love learning alongside my students, and finding avenues for creativity and success that empower them and make them feel knowledgeable and confident. I have particular experience working with English language learners, and hold a TESOL certification. I am able to work with students on reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation, college essays, time management, and other classroom skills. I have a particular passion for writing and college essay tutoring. I am experienced working one-on-one and leading small study groups. I believe in meeting students where they are and employing collaborative methods to set and accomplish realistic goals. Let's chat!
