About Pamela

I am a cheerful, optimistic, and thoughtful mature woman. I am a non-smoker and drug-free. I like tutoring because it feels good to help someone else learn and master something. I started tutoring when I was referred to a family that wanted homeschooling for their kindergartener child. In my spare time, I like to garden, read, create art and things (especially quilts), hike, camp, and work on my bus conversion. I am a retired speech-language pathologist so I have had extensive education, training, and experience working with all age groups who have speech, language, and swallowing disorders. I also have a special interest in autism and have worked with many autistic children from preschool to high school age. My top three tutoring skills include reading, writing, and spelling. I have taken extra course work in these areas.
