About Patricia

My entire life had been embedded in the arts. Both dance and visual art have been my passion since I could walk and hold a pencil. I didn't begin formal ballet training until the late age of 10, but I joined a professional ballet company when I was 14 years old. I began teaching ballet to all ages and skill levels in 2001 at the Lawton City Ballet. When I retired in 2008, I returned to school to study visual art until I moved to OKC in 2011. I still had a year of school left but was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and did not return for my degree. Instead, I opened a face painting business and began doing freelance art. In 2019, I began teaching at Heart Studios, a childrend art academy. Last year, I was promoted to Education Director. I am also a muralist and have 2 murals in the Britton District. I teach advanced drawing, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, figure drawing, portraiture, etc. I help students who are building portfolios for college and summer camp admissions as well.
