After caring for my husband following his stroke, I discovered my passion for helping others. I assisted him with daily living activities like dressing, bathing, and preparing meals. I understand the challenges families face. I communicate openly, often using a notebook to share daily updates and any concerns, and I am always available by phone. I respect each person's independence. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with patience. I have some graduate school experience in Special Education. Though my professional caregiving journey is just beginning, my personal experience has prepared me to provide compassionate and attentive care.
