About Paula

I'm a retired executive director for an assisted living community and I have a deep passion for helping people who know what they want and/or those who are experiencing memory loss. Patience, dignity, and love is needed. They still have so much to give but you must engage & step into their world instead of trying to get them to step into our world. One of the most difficult challenges as we age, is losing our independence, dignity, and purpose. It's vital that the person maintains as much decision making and purpose as possible even if it's taking their hand & guiding them to cut their sandwich or sitting down & helping them plan their social activities, restaurants, new room decor, whatever they want - we meet them where they are & keep them safe along the way. The spirit never ages & connecting with their spirit is life changing.
