About Pema

I’m so happy to write this note for Pema, who cared for my two boys when they were little. One was just 6 months old, and the other was 3 at the time. She joined us primarily to care for the baby, but it didn’t take long for my older son to bond with her too. The way she connected with both of them-patient, calm, and incredibly loving. She became someone I trusted completely. Not only was she warm and attentive with the kids, but she also helped with light household work and always kept the space neat and tidy, which was a huge help during that chaotic chapter of life. I’ll never forget how, when my younger one was about 9 months old, he’d happily wave goodbye to me when I left for work but cry a lot when she left for the day. It used to sting a little, but it spoke volumes about how safe and loved he felt with her. She was our nanny for nearly two years, and even now, years later my boys (who are now 10 and 7) still talk about how kind and fun she was. She’s stayed in our lives, and what started as a job has turned into a lasting connection. She’s part of our extended family now. Any family would be lucky to have her in their lives.
