About Petra

With over 30 years of experience working with children of all ages, I have developed a deep commitment to early childhood care, education and family support. My background includes specialized training and hands-on experience across a diverse settings, from working with preterm infants to guiding young learners in a Montessori school. I have managed to care for multiple infants and sibling groups simultaneously, which required balancing safety, nurturing and individualized attention. My work also includes experience supporting special needs infants and children, including those on the autism spectrum, where patience, structure and adaptive strategies are critical. My foundation in Early Childhood Education and Care is extensive, and I have taught in multiple education settings. I have been certified in early speech and cognitive screening, which also allows me to recognize developmental milestones and provide early intervention support when needed.
