About Pia

My wife Susan, or as we called her, Susie, was diagnosed with frontal dementia in 2013. The first few years she could take care of herself. I started helping out where I could as best I could until I realized I wasn’t doing a very good job. At that time, I found Pia Woollard on care.com and hired her. It was sometime in 2021. She made all the difference. In addition to the regular care that you would expect any caregiver could provide, Pia had numerous other abilities and skills. She took care of Susie’s makeup, hair, and clothes, always having her look like a million bucks! I know that cheered Susie up realizing she still looked great. Pia would take Susie out for walks: to the gym, to the mall, to the beach, and to other places she liked to go. Pia would help Susie walk every day. These are all the things that kept Susie going. When I hired Pia, I got a report from Susie’s doctor that he didn’t believe she would live one more year. It was only because of Pia‘s care that Susie had another 4 1/2 relatively happy years.
