I'd describe my personality as flexible, caring, and reliable. I like tutoring because I enjoy giving that extra boost to kids who need one on one support. I love the satisfaction of witnessing that a-ha moment - when students finally grasp a previously challenging concept. I also enjoy the freedom and flexibility to find what works for each individual child. I'm looking for a job that is part time, consistent, and close to home. I started tutoring when I began teaching 29 years ago! In my spare time, I like to read, travel, garden, and spend time with friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I am a mother of 3 grown daughters. I've been teaching for 29 years and have loved every moment! My skills include breaking down concepts into more manageable chunks, fostering confidence and independence, and meeting students where they are as a learner.
