I had the pleasure of supervising Poelo for a year in a care home setting, and I can confidently say she was a valuable member of the team. Poelo consistently demonstrated compassion, patience, and professionalism in her work with residents. She provided high-quality, person-centered care, ensuring that each resident was treated with dignity and respect at all times. She was skilled in assisting residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. In addition, Poelo supported residents with mobility, including safe transfers and repositioning, while adhering to proper manual handling procedures. She was attentive in monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing, accurately recording observations, reporting any changes in condition, and following care plans effectively. Poelo also assisted with medication administration under supervision, supported residents living with dementia through patience and understanding, and helped create a calm, safe, and engaging environment. She contributed to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the care home and ensured infection control procedures were followed at all times.
