About Rachel

I am a professional nanny, personal assistant and postpartum doula. I love nurturing children of all ages! I specialize in infants and children with special needs. My own sons are 21 and 24 years old. They went to Montecito Union and are now thriving adults living on their own. My mother's intuition has helped me tremendously especially around anticipating potential safety hazards. I use the Montessori method to teach children through play. I feel my job as a caregiver is to make the children feel safe, validated and empowered to explore. I will read, communicate and play! I emphasize good manners and kindness. My references will tell you how much fun we always have and I always make sure the kitchen is clean with the dishwasher unloaded, garbage out, toys/clothes put away I feel a sense of complete well being when I work with kids, especially babies. This is what I was meant to do.
