About Rachel

I have been working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities for over 7 years. While I don't see myself making a life long career out of it, I cannot picture my life without helping this community in some capacity. I am currently going back to school to become a radiography technician. Right now I am taking online classes with one in person lab that meets Thursday evenings. I love helping others reach their goals- anything from obtaining employment to learning how to do their own laundry! I've got plenty of experience dealing with doctor's appointments and cleaning is my favorite way to unwind. I'm certified in CPR/AED/First Aid as well as PMT...(if you know, you know!) I take a medication administration test every 2 years and am currently certified in this. This course goes over different forms of medications and different routes. It also covers basic medical knowledge as well as handling sensitive medication administration with dignity and respect.
