I currently work as a middle school reading specialist and come with nearly a decade of experience. Prior to graduating with my Masters of Education in 2023 from UMSL, where I also obtained my Special Reading (K-12) MO state certification, I taught 6th grade English Language Arts for 6 years and supported novice teachers write, adapt, and implement core humanities curriculum. I have experience teaching phonics curriculums, such as SIPPS, and am UFLI and LETRS trained. I also have a wealth of expertise when it comes to supporting readers with comprehending what they're reading and making deeper meaning of a text. I am open to working virtually or meeting in person.
