About Rachel

Hi! I'm Rachel and I am currently a graduate student at PSU pursuing my M. Ed. in elementary education, and student teaching in a 4th grade class 2x a week. I'm looking for a part-time gig, whether that be nannying a couple days a week, helping out around the house, etc. I have experience working with children and youth, from newborns to high school students. I worked in alternative & outdoor education at a high school level for the past 4 years, before pursuing my k-5 licensure. I also have 15 years of nanny experience, ranging from au pairing in Australia for a 4-month-old & 4-year-old to summer nanny jobs. I love the curiosity that children have, and am passionate about fostering a sense of self and belonging with children and youth in the world around them. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, backpacking, snowboarding; and pretty much anything that involves the outdoors! I am CPR/First Aid certified, & wilderness first responder certified.
