About Rachel

I began working with children at a young age, starting as a mother's helper at 8 years old. By 12, I was babysitting, and at 16, I worked as a summer nanny for up to seven children. I handled everything from meals and activities to homework help and bedtime routines. In high school, I interned in a life skills classroom, supporting students with severe special needs. I have experience with children from newborns to age 12. While in college, I created and implemented lesson plans for preschool and elementary-aged students. I later worked as a self-contained special education teacher for six years, teaching 1st through 4th grade across all subjects, including Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math-my favorites to teach. Currently, I'm a lead preschool teacher, continuing to build on my passion for early childhood education through hands-on learning and play-based teaching.
