About Rachel

Through the years I have enjoyed both volunteer and paid service for older adults. In my youth I loved doing things like caroling at an assisted living facility and shoveling the sidewalk for my neighbor when it snowed. As an adult, I worked in the office of a home healthcare agency for several years, and saw firsthand the challenge for senior citizens who needed help at home, but also wanted to maintain their independence. During the pandemic, I had a retired neighbor who lived alone. She struggled finding some of the essentials in stores, and I was thankful I could help by tracking down the items she needed and delivering them to her door. I have experience cleaning homes, running errands, and preparing meals, checking in, keeping people company, and other companion tasks. I am friendly, patient, and here to help!
