My name is Rain. I have a computer science degree from University of Maryland, but after a few years in that world, I decided to return to childcare, and now I have been taking care of children again for the last 4 years. I cannot express how much I love this job. Children's happiness makes me happy and I love to help them grow into kind and intelligent little humans. It has been blessing years working with about 8 families and 1 daycare throughout my childcare career. I consider the children and their families to be friends and we keep contact as much as we can. The current family I am working with is moving away around October 6, so I am now looking for a new position starting around that time. Infants and toddlers are my preferred age group to work with, and I have over 6 years of experience taking care of them. To say Rain is incredible is an understatement. She is like family to us and we feel so lucky to have found her. She takes our son out daily for fun activities, sticks to a routine that works, and is constantly engaging him and teaching him new things. She’ll ask him in the morning “playground or library” and she lets him decide. She is always singing and coming up with fun games and activities. Her references were glowing when I checked them. She is flexible, which has been so helpful for us. She understands baby and toddler needs intuitively. And I bet she would be great with older kids, too. We had to end with Rain because we were moving, otherwise we'd keep working with her until the kids were in school.
