I'm a huge animal lover and have provided care for animals my whole life. Starting with the family pets- cats and dogs- extending into pet sitting as a young adult, and eventually working full time for a mobile doggy daycare and dog walking service. With Well Rounded Hounds, I was part of a team that transported up to 80 dogs at a time on three small buses. I picked up and dropped off dogs door to door, on either side of a two hour walk in which I walked 6-8 dogs at a time on a cross body leash. On the bus and at the dog park I intercepted aggressive or antisocial behavior when it arose, and implemented redirection and incentive-based positive behavior techniques. Along the way I've also cared for cats, rodents, reptiles, fish, and farm animals including chickens, donkeys, and horses. I'm looking for reoccurring, part time work as a dog walker and/or sitter. I'm willing to walk up to 5 dogs at one time, depending on their level of leash training.
