About Rosa

We interviewed Rosa for a nanny position for our four-month old. Rosa seemed great and we were prepared to hire her, subject to her references. We called one of her references, who Rosa said was her "current boss." Although she said Rosa was her nanny, she seemed uncomfortable and rushed. Something was definitely off. We then managed to locate the real person Rosa works for (who the person on the phone pretended to be). She said Rosa is her nanny but that the number we were given was someone else and we did not speak to her (even as she had good things to say about Rosa). We then called Rosa to ask her to explain. She seemed flustered and said she would call me back. She never did. Needless to say, this was a huge red flag. We still don't know why Rosa gave us a fake reference and the whole situation was strange and incredibly disappointing.
