About Ryan

My name is Ryan D! This is my 7th year teaching middle school math in Oregon. I was born in Vietnam and moved to the U. S. when I was 14. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescents Development (Preps for Teaching) and Mathematics. A year later, I obtained a MEd: Secondary Mathematics at Portland State University and an Oregon Initial Teaching License: Secondary Mathematics. During my graduate school year, I was a student-teacher at a High School, teaching Math II (Algebra II and Geometry). Through those experiences, I have gained practical experience that has shaped my abilities to impart wisdom and encourage my students. Teaching has always been my biggest passion. I believe that my patience, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject are three of the aspects of my personality that make me an excellent Math tutor.
