About Sage

My name is Sage. Currently, I live in Germantown, Maryland. A few things I like to do in my spare time is read books, listen to music, draw, paint, explore nature, play tennis, write short stories and poetry, and watch movies and shows. More professionally, I am a four-year public health student at American University, and an intern for the U. S. House of Representatives. When I was in primary and secondary school, a tutor helped me adjust to my academics. They are one of the reasons I am successful today! Therefore, I want to give back and show students that learning can be fun! My previous experience includes tutoring my fellow, high school peers in English and Social Studies through the English and Rho Kappa Honor Society, and creating and teaching self-care workshops for youth at an affordable housing organization. I have also tutored a 7-year-old girl, who is now a straight A student!
