My name is Samantha. I have been a nanny for over 15 years now. My pediatric and adult CPR/first aid, and AED certification has lapsed but I am in the process of renewing. I love to be outside, fresh air and sunshine I believe is so good for the body and mine, as well as naps. I also enjoy trips to the aquarium, zoo, and theme parks. I have my DCF 45 hours for early childhood education, and know safe sleep practices for infants. I have been trained to use a fire extinguisher, and I am certified in youth mental health first aid. I have 2. 5 years of teaching in a professional childcare environment. I can work on basic sign language, fine motor skills, and introducing a love for reading and creativity. I also help with homework and projects as needed. As for personal awards; I have a certificate from the American Red Cross for saving my nephew from drowning when he was 15 months old. Samantha took care of my children like they were her own. She continues to do so as she still sits for us from time to time. She started with us when my youngest was about 6 months and my oldest was 3. She took care of the baby and helped by picking dropping or picking up my oldest. As they have grown up, she still manages to find games and activities for them. She also helped me keep my household organized and me organized at times. We were lucky to have her!
