About Samantha

I've been nanny alongside my 3 1/2-year-old daughter since she was 6 months old. I'm a Montessori style caregiver and believe that building on practical life skills that little ones watch us do builds a strong foundation in their overall development and self image. I am enthusiastic about child development and I love watching the world through their eyes. Nature is our best teacher so we are outside every day regardless of weather. I don't believe in "bad weather" only poor choices of clothes. Being outside, not only is natural for them, but can also help them self regulate when needed. I love taking little ones to the library for storytime, parks, museums, or outdoor gardens if allowed. I love making crafts, practicing phonics and blending of sounds along with building a foundations of basic math. I am CPR and first aid trained and can provide that documentation upon request.
