About Samantha

Hello :) I recently moved to Reno after working in New Mexico as a mental health therapist facilitating outdoor adventure therapy for youth and families for 8 years. I love working with kids because they are the future! I want to be a positive influence and encourage them to be their most courageous and authentic selves. My strongest relational skills include setting and enforcing boundaries, creative play, and attunement. I also am always down to clean and cook healthy meals or help with any organizational or home improvement projects. I'd describe my personality as playful, direct, and warm. Many would consider me to be relatively unconventional- I identify as queer and non-binary, have tattoos and leftist politics. And I am open and curious about all perspectives and experiences! In my spare time, I like to dance, make art, listen to music, play outside, cook with friends, and volunteer for mutual aid orgs.
