About Samantha

I would describe myself as considerate, adventurous, and kind, and I love working with kids because I'm inspired by their creativity and curiosity! I've worked with children most of my life-I'm the second oldest of seven, started caregiving at age 10, and was officially babysitting by 13. I'm a 4th-year premed student at UC Santa Cruz studying Molecular Biology, with aspirations to become a pediatrician or OBGYN. I've served as a Life Lab guide for Pajaro Valley Unified students, Bay View elementary science fair mentor, and I conduct education in research on STEM identity and belonging in children. I bring emotional awareness, responsibility, and strong communication to every role. Creating safe, supportive spaces for kids to grow is my priority. In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, running (training for a 5K!), and giving back to my community through service and mentorship through my many roles and past experiences.
