Tl;dr: Sam is wonderful, compassionate, and someone we trust implicitly with our children. We highly recommend Sam to any family looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and experienced. We have known her for the past four years, and she has cared for our children many times during that period. She is always punctual, responsible, and professional, and she consistently brings a calm, positive energy into our home. We can genuinely call her a friend. Sam is incredibly patient and kind, and she takes the time to build a genuine connection with each child. Our kids truly enjoy being with her - they even ask us regularly when they will see her next! They love playing games with her, and she has taught them some basic cooking things (our kids are obsessed with her pita pizzas), and has keep taken them swimming during the summer. She follows our routines, communicates clearly with us, and handles everything with ease. Her background in special education is absolutely wonderful and gives us an extra level of trust and peace of mind, especially as parents of neurodivergent children. She has a natural ability to meet each child where they are, support their individual needs, and create a structured, nurturing environment where they can thrive. She's very familiar with redirection techniques, keeping them on task without them getting frustrated. All of our children have adhd, to varying degrees, and two are autistic. We trust her suggestions regarding ways to help our children grow and excel, and we have appreciated it when brings things to our attention that we hadn't noticed. Safety and attentiveness are always clearly a priority for her, and we never have to worry when she is with our kids. She is engaging, dependable, and consistently goes above and beyond. Thankfully, we've never had to take advantage of it, but her CPR and First Aid training definitely give us a peace of mind that is so helpful during long care times. We would absolutely hire Sam again and recommend her without hesitation to any family.
