About Samia

Why 5 stars?: My husband and I were scrolling through Care.com and found Samia. We really liked the hours she was available and her background. We reached out and scheduled a meet up. First impression was she was organized, calm and pleasant to talk with. We scheduled another meeting with her at her home. She had a dedicated indoor play area that had a few toys and books in it(that she rotates out periodically). She has a child size table and chairs near the kitchen area for the children to eat at. Our daughter(who is 1yr old) was immediately excited to get down and start exploring the playroom. Samia has a no shoe policy in that room which we really appreciated. So we took our shoes off and off she went. We schedule one more meeting this time with her family especially the ones that would be around or interact with our daughter. They were all very sweet and were very patient with her. She and her family have been very understanding and patient with our odd schedule. Both my husband and I work odd and long hours as first responders. She has been most accommodating with our schedules. When it came to talking about the daily routine. Samia was very open and flexible to taylor our daughters specific needs. She asked us about our home routine and has been able to accommodate our routine at her home as closely as possible. She has a good background in child care. She is very attentive to the small changes that our daught has gone through (from skin issues, to napping and feeding changes). She has always been communicative about what, when and how to feed our daughter or when to do naps. Any time Samia wants to change or add something she has always contacted us first for approval. As new parents and first time dropping our daughter off with a (at the time) stranger, she knows the stress and worrie that we had. She texted us updates once she was down for naps, awake, feeding, playing. We have come to find her and her husband's parenting style very similar to ours which really helped our daughter start to become comfortable with Samia. This is why we gave her 5 stars.
