About Sarah

I'd describe my personality as patient, fun, and determined. I like tutoring because I love helping students in a more relaxed environment and watching them gain confidence they didn't know they had. I'm looking for a job that allows me to continue to use my skills and years of experience to work more one-on-one with students who may struggle to succeed in traditional academic settings. I started tutoring right after I graduated with my Masters Degree in Education from GWU. Teaching doesn't pay very well ;) That was in 1998. In my spare time, I foster dogs and cats. I enjoy exercise, meditation, going on hikes, reading, and traveling. One thing you should know about me is that I truly love teaching. I don't think learning should be drudgery. Your student and I WILL laugh, and WILL make progress. My skills include identifying where the problem lies in understanding a concept, strategizing along WITH your student, and connecting in a way that allows us to work well together.
