About Sarah

I am an energetic, empathetic, and patient teacher! I believe humor and positivity will go far in learning. I enjoy tutoring because it provides each student with the opportunity for personalized instruction. I started tutoring when I began my teaching career after completing my elementary education degree. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time reading, painting and being active outdoors. Im a big advocate of being in nature and have always enjoyed a big hike with our family and kayaking and fishing on the lake. I have homeschooled each of our children with learning disabilities, and have learned a great deal about the necessity for instruction to be adapted for the individual. I have worked with school systems to establish IEP's for two of our children. I have chosen curriculum designed for each of our children. I believe strongly in customized instruction for the individual. Each child has the right to an education designed to provide success.
