About Sarah

Hi! My name is Sarah. I am currently a Senior at Virginia Tech. I am originally from Virginia Beach. I am passionate about working with seniors because I think that they are so special. Seniors are so wise and have experienced so much in their lifetime and I love hearing their stories. My grandma is 91, and a few years ago she moved into a retirement home. We are really close and as she has aged I've seen how difficult it can be for her to get quality services which is why I am interested in helping when I can. I have experience cooking meals for a gentleman with Parkinson and experience spending quality time and running errands with my grandma. I am a Human Development major at Tech and have taken courses on Adulthood and Aging where I learned a lot about the aging process and how to best support and care for the elderly. My friends would describe me as kind and patient. I would love to chat more if you are interested in learning more about me.
