Hello! Some information about me: I am currently an assistant 5th grade special education teacher in Manhattan. I graduated from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Communication Disorders, a minor in Education, and a certificate in Developmental Disabilities and Human Services. I am licensed in Massachusetts as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. I have hundreds of hours of experience working with children as a nanny and special education speech-therapy-centered teacher's assistant, camp counselor, and tutor. During my semester abroad, I studied and practiced The Reggio Emilia Approach- a constructivist and student centered pedagogy of education - at a preschool in Reggio Emilia, Italy. I also am in the process of becoming a certified 200 Hour Yoga Teacher, with an emphasis on Yoga for children and special needs! I currently am booked M-F 2-7pm, but have a full availability in the mornings!
