I started caring for seniors when I was in high school and my grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer. My mom was working full time and the caregiver roll just fell on my lap. Since then, I've become the de facto caregiver/advocate of my family. I've chosen to leave two great paying jobs to care for family members and I don't regret it for a second. In my spare time, I like to watch my 16-year-old daughter ride horses. I do a lot of driving (putting it mildly) getting her to barns but I'm just in awe of her and who she is every day. One thing you should know about me is that I'm pretty well rounded and adaptable. There aren't too many situations where I would feel uncomfortable and I don't offend easily. My skills include making them laugh, keeping them safe and getting them to do what they need to do by letting them think it was their own idea.
