About Sequoya

As a caregiver, my passion lies in nurturing children's growth and development. I aspire to become an elementary educator, where I can foster a positive and supportive environment for the youth. My mother has been a paraprofessional educator since I was in kindergarten, and throughout the years I have gained hands-on experience with caretaking/working with people of both mental and physical disabilities. My patient, creative, and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children. When it comes to activities, I enjoy in engaging in various games, whether that is outdoor activities/sports, or indoor board games! Furthermore, I just graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in education. I spent my fourth year focusing on my education minor and routinely volunteering/tutoring at various elementary schools, where I was able to further pursue my passion for childhood education and gain invaluable hands-on experience.
