Experience: 10 yrs
I have worked with multiple families from all different backgrounds as a babysitter since I graduated high school in 2000, started working overnights with newborns in 2007, and have 10 years' experience as a nanny, house manager, and newborn care specialist, including travel, overnights, and 24/7 care. I've traveled with families (domestically and internationally) and have cared for children while parents were out of town. In high school and my early 20's I taught swimming lessons, coached swim team, and was a summer camp counselor. The kids I have cared for range from newborns to pre-teen age in that time I have also cared for twins and kids with ADD, ADHD, OCD, Autism, and Dyslexia
It is my great pleasure to recommend Serap as a nanny. When we decided to pull our daughter out of daycare due to the constant cycle of illnesses, we knew we needed someone not only experienced, but also reliable in the moments that matter most. Serap proved to be exactly that and more. From the very beginning, Serap was there for us through multiple illnesses and ear infections. She comforted our daughter through high fevers, sometimes holding her for hours to let her sleep peacefully on her. She also guided us through the difficult teething process, offering practical advice on how to soothe our baby during that challenging stage. That level of care is something every parent dreams of finding. Serap has over 10 years of childcare experience, and it shows in everything she does. She is consistently punctual and remarkably reliable—qualities we came to deeply depend upon. Her skill and professionalism rival those of a Norland College nanny, and in truth, we often felt she was even better. What stood out most, however, was how highly interactive she was with our daughter. Serap was always speaking to her, playing with her, and reading with her, creating a warm, stimulating environment every single day. Beyond her care during difficult times, Serap also enriched our daughter’s life in countless ways. She taught us, as new parents, how to better care for our baby—guiding us on feeding, introducing new foods, and even helping her become comfortable in the water. She gently introduced her to the basics of swimming, and took her on outings to the library. Under Serap’s guidance, our daughter’s development accelerated at a remarkable pace. On a personal note, we will always keep a Turkish eye in our daughter’s room as a symbol of Serap’s enduring presence. We give Serap our strongest possible recommendation—something we do not offer lightly. Any family would be truly fortunate to have her as part of their child’s life.
