Hi there! I'm Derria, a dedicated and experienced babysitter with a strong background in child care. I started as a babysitter for kids in temporary housing in the foster care systems at age 15. I then started to teach swim lessons for ages 6 months and up, managing classes with up to 6 kids in the water at once for 2 years. I am currently working as a Lead Teacher at a daycare/pre-k working with kids ranging 6 months-5 years for the past year. I completed an Early Childhood Education course in high school finishing with the nocti award. My favorite things to do with the kids are crafts and reading books. I will soon be starting college and I'm looking to make the switch from daycare to full time nannying. Although I have no nannying experience and fairly young, I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for your children and will not fail to meet your child's needs. We are so lucky to have found Derria while we were visiting the area. She is incredible competent, confident, and comfortable jumping in wherever needed. We were a group of 3 families, 5 kids under the age of 5, and Derria seamlessly entered the scene, engaged the children, and navigated all that needed to be done to care for the kids. She is communicative, punctual and flexible. Highly recommend!!
