For over 20 years, I've been an educator. I've dedicated the past several years to implementing research aligned practices into the classroom to explicitly teach elementary students how to read. I hold a graduate degree in literacy and focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning in my students. I actively listen and observe to understand each student's individual learning style, adapting my methods through open communication and regular parental check-ins. Celebrating small successes and providing positive reinforcement keeps my students motivated, even when concepts are challenging. Communication is essential for understanding needs, progress, and setting clear expectations. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence grow is the most rewarding part of my work. I would love to help your student succeed online, at the library, or a coffee shop.
