About Shannon

Hi, I'm Shannon! I provide one-on-one tutoring services for students to improve their reading and writing. My areas of focus include English, Creative Writing, Psychology, and Reading/Writing SAT Prep. For a bit about my academic background, I grew up in Bergen County, NJ, and was my school's valedictorian. I received a score of 770 on the Reading and Writing sections of my SAT. I attended Hamilton College, a competitive liberal arts college in NY that emphasized the humanities and strong writing skills. I am now in grad school part-time at SUNY New Paltz to become a child therapist. In addition to private tutoring, I have over five years of experience tutoring students through the America Reads literacy program and as an Assistant Teacher at All About Me Early Learning Center in Cresskill, NJ.
