My family had a husky/german shepherd mix growing up and more recently an Australian red heeler mix, both were integral members of our family and were treated as royalty. I've watched all kinds of breeds for friends (and friends of friends), ranging from young to old and small to very big and operate the same way - my place is their place. The area I live in is great for long walks and is very safe. For cats, we grew up with Maine Coons and a couple rescues, I would love to adopt one of my own someday! I'm currently unemployed so have plenty of time to give in care and companionship.
