I am a single Christian woman who has built a life around the care and nurture of children. After receiving a BA degree, I returned to school to earn an AS degree in Child Development. I was blessed to teach preschool for five years at a faith based school with a developmentally appropriate, play based and outdoor focused program. Desiring to develop deeper, longer lasting relationships with children, I moved from teaching to nannying. I worked for the same family for nine years. We considered each other family and made the employment relationship last as long as possible! l am constantly engaging with resources related to parenting and education. My desire is that every child feels seen and deeply and unconditionally loved for the unique individual God created him or her to be. I want children to have an abiding sense of wonder and joy and a love of exploring and learning. I want to help them love goodness, beauty, and excellence. And I want them to delight in warm hugs and giggles!

Shannon was the caretaker for our five-month-old son during a period of our lives where my family was in desperate need of help. I immediately knew I wanted to hire Shannon after learning about her passion for child development, her Christian faith, and her dedication to the previous family she worked for (nannying for a family for almost a decade is impressive to say the least!). We ultimately hired Shannon to be our part time nanny after meeting her in person and seeing how much our son naturally gravitated towards her kind, warm demeanor. Our desire was to have Shannon be our nanny long-term, but unfortunately we faced some economic hardship that resulted in cutting back on childcare. Had that not been the case, I would have found every reason to keep Shannon in our lives for as long as possible. I know that she will make whomever decides to hire her one very lucky and blessed family! She is punctual, reliable, dedicated, kind-hearted, and you can tell that she really loves what she does. I’m grateful for the time we had with her.
